Facing of interiors

About the service

Natural stone as a facing material has been known since the days of antiquity, as is true for the architectural masterpieces that have survived to this day. Excellent both functional and aesthetic qualities of the stone remain in demand and very relevant in our day. Due to its technical and natural properties, natural stone dominates in the basic architectural, design solutions.

The company "MeGran" produces facing works with products made of natural stone, of any complexity:

  • - lining of hamam with natural stone;
  • - facing of columns with natural stone;
  • - cladding with slabs and large-format slabs of natural stone (including selection of patterns);
  • - facing with mosaic made of natural stone;
  • - facing with radius elements made of natural stone;
  • - facing with light-transparent products made of natural stone (lighting of designs made of onyx, quartz, agate and other semiprecious stones);
  • - facing of fireplaces with natural stone;
  • - polishing of floors made of natural stone;
  • - polishing walls made of natural stone;

Installation of products from natural stone definitely requires the presence of high qualification of specialists at all stages of this type of work, from design to finishing polishing / polishing of assembled products. When installing natural stone, it is necessary to take into account the structure, weight, deviation in the overall dimensions of products, the presence of discrepancies in the tone of products made of natural stone, and much more. Each material is individual and requires an appropriate approach.

Our long-term experience allows us to perform the most complex tasks while conducting facing works. The minimum length of service with the natural stone of our specialists is at least 7 years and we systematically monitor the qualifications of the installation teams, because the success of our company depends on this.

INSTALLATION OF NATURAL STONE ON FLOOR: FIRST METHOD

The first way of literate laying of a stone is that the marble slabs are laid on a special mortar. Laying options in this case can also vary depending on the thickness of the tile itself and the material of the prepared substrate. The first method considers laying of marble slabs on a sandy-cement mortar and a concrete base, with a thickness of 50-20 mm. It is important to do everything quickly and finish the styling before the solution begins to "grasp". Plates must be pushed into the mortar layer - the clutch. In hard-to-reach corners of the room, the slabs are pressed manually, in accessible places - by vibration. After the laying of the plates themselves, it is necessary to treat the joints with a specially prepared mixture of 30% fine sand and 70% cement. During the processing and laying of marble slabs in the room, the temperature regime is observed: air is not lower than + 5 ° and not higher than +34 °.

INSTALLATION OF NATURAL STONE ON FLOOR: SECOND METHOD

The technology of laying stone according to the second method assumes the laying of slabs on a special glue solution without sand and often even moisture. At the same time, the thickness of the adhesive layer is 3-5 mm, so more thorough and accurate preparation of the substrate is required. Then, with the help of professional polishing and grinding devices, the processing and polishing of the plates "in place" is carried out. And the seams are filled with a two-component glue with a selection of colors, so the marble floors look like a monolithic shiny mirror. From an aesthetic point of view, this way of laying a stone is considered much more advantageous. But in the future, after such a surface will need to look after, using a polo and special

It is worth mentioning that, unlike Russian, European technology, stone laying, as a rule, involves facing with thinner marble slabs. The standard foreign thickness of marble slabs for interior and interior finishing works is only 10 mm. This thickness is more than enough for laying the stone in interiors for special adhesive compounds that exclude water. Installation and directly the construction itself, thus greatly simplified, as well as saving the material itself.

METHOD OF FACING THE WALLS WITH NATURAL STONE

Thin slabs, the thickness of which is not less than 10 mm, is usually fastened to the walls without metal bolts. Both horizontal and vertical thin claddings are fixed to the wall using mastics and glue compositions for natural stone, while first you need to prepare floor screeds and plastering walls. Thus, it becomes possible to avoid the shrinkage of the sand-cement mortar layer, while the mastic or glue will give the joint a special elasticity. When choosing mastic, glue and other compounds for laying operations, it is necessary to take into account the deposit and the rock that will be stacked in order to eliminate the appearance of spots, shadows and halos on the face of the stone, since the physical and mechanical properties (porosity, water absorption, etc.) the stones vary. Mixtures for the processing of seams and joints should be elastic: this will help compensate for expansion under the influence of temperatures and provide reliable protection against possible water penetration.

Unique properties and aesthetics of natural stone are fully revealed only in the case of correctly performed works on laying and joining of products made of natural stone, as well as its correct operation. During the performance of the cladding work, all necessary rules, regulations and recommendations must be observed. Unprofessional laying will soon lead to a divergence of seams and joints, damage to the stone, loss or change in its color, texture, appearance of stains, divorces and other defects.

By entrusting us with the execution of facing works you make a choice in favor of high quality and your peace of mind.
